Corset Boutique Belle Modeste Ltd manufactures durable, high quality made to measure corsets to everyone regardless of size or sex. Our corsets are suitable for occasional or continuous use as well as tight-lacing. On our pages you can also find a wealth of information in Finnish regarding the use and maintenance of corsets. Corset Boutique Belle Modeste was founded in early 2004 mostly to cater for the need for custom corsets, but we also manufacture nearly every other types of made to measure clothing. From our customer gallery among the corsets one can also find other examples of our costumes.
As a corset we classify a strictly form fitting and a sturdy bone supported piece of clothing, which shapes the waist and other parts of the figure. There are several different types of corset wearers: the body sculpting tight-lacers, briders, those with spinal ailments, fetishists, historical enthusiasts, transvestites, goths, live-action role-players - the list goes on. The corset is suitable for if not everyone, definitely the most. The corset can be used as a piece of lingerie, casual wear, in an evening dress and also to spruce things up in the bedroom. It can smooth out the body's curves, support the back and breasts or noticeably sculpt the waist and body - according to the wearer's measurements and preferences.
Both of the proprietors and employees of Belle Modeste have bachelor's degrees in crafts and clothing from Häme Polytechnic, Wetterhoff. Manufacturing- and designwise we are well equipped to make even the wilder ideas reality. We have been making corsets since 1996 - at first for our own needs, but little by little also for others. Both of us have worn corsets on a daily basis for year, so we can give qualified advice about corsets and their use as well as continually develop our products further.
